Forgiveness

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
Mahatma Gandhi

Today's prayer at the Church was very helpful for me. Was I not asking about golden middle in previews post? Call it a miracle, a sign or a pure coincidence, but when priest started to talk about forgiveness, I knew straightaway, that was what I needed to hear. Not that I never heard of it or never talked myself about forgiveness, but sometimes we forget most obvious things.

We need to forgive each other for what was done. Forgiving is more important for the person who does so. If you don't forgive, you are doubling another persons sin and carrying it with our own shoulders. Forgiving others means cure to our soul. The same is true for a community, people and a nation. However forgiving doesn't means justification of abuse and wrong. Nobody is allowed to abuse other and nobody should be abused.

If you forgive, it means, that you set your soul free, that you allow holy spirit enter your life. You'll become able to do good things in this life. And Abuser has to live his own sins, if he has killed, if he has harmed anyone for their ethnicity, race or religious. However the God is merciful and if you ask for forgiveness for your wrong doing, he is willing to change your life and if you repent sincerely, the God will mercy you.

So golden middle, which I was looking for, is FORGIVENESS. And if we change our heart, our community will change, our society will change and our life will change too. Let's forgive each other and be the change you wish to see in the world.
