About Us
www.abgeoblogspot.com, created in 2007, is devoted to peace-making. This blog was created with the aim to contribute to the reconciliation between Georgian, Abkhazian and Ossetian people. Authors of the blog are two Georgian young women, who would like to invite everyone interested in Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian-Ossetian peace to contribute to the blog and peace in the region.
The main short-term aims are:
• Attract authors from different parts of the world who are interested in peace in the Caucasus and in peaceful co-existence of Abkhazian, Ossetian and Georgian people.
• People from the Caucasus are more than welcome to become co-authors of the blog and express their thoughts about peace, stability, peaceful co-existence and future of peoples of the region.
The main long-term aims are:
• Re-establish broken ties between Georgians, Ossetians and Abkhazians and create a platform where they could discuss conflict and peace related issues.
• Create a platform where Georgians, Ossetians and Abkhazians will share their ideas and will be able discuss their differences in order to overcome them

www.abgeo.blogspot.com посвященный поддержанию мира в Грузии, был создан в 2007. Целью данного блога является попытка примирения с одной стороны между грузинами и абхазами, сдругой между грузинами и осетинами. Авторы блога - две молодые грузинки - хотели бы пригласить всех желающих мира между ними, чтобы они внесли свои посильний вклад в это дело своим участием в нашем блоге.
Наши планы:
• Привлекать авторов из разных частей мира, которые заинтересовонны в мирным сосуществовании народов Кавказа.
• Желательно участие самих жителей Кавказа, тех для кого он не безразличен.
Главные цели:
• Восстанавить прерванные связи между жителями Абхазии, Цхинвальского региона с остальными жителями Грузии и создать платформу, где бы они смогли обсудить вопросы связанны с конфликтом и мирным сосуществованием.
• Создать плащадку, где каждый сможет выразить свое мнение и обсудить разные позиции.

Marda Peaceman has been involved in the research and analysis of inter-ethnic conflicts and human rights. Currently, she is working for an international think-tank as a researcher/analyst. Meanwhile, Marda is participant of Georgian-Ossetian and Georgian-Abkhazian dialogue projects. She recently started blogging for ABGEO and writes on peace, justice & reconciliation. Marda is looking forward to exploring more on these issues with Abkhazian and Ossetian friends.

Nino is originally from Georgia. She studied Georgian history in Tbilisi University and recently is interested in book keeping and financial studies. She is blogging from Great Britain. Nino likes music, playing the guitar, singing, beautiful scenery, poetry and in general everything that is beautiful. She will be writing about cooking and all related topics.
Asif Khan has extensive experience in socio-economic research with a doctorate in Development Economics. He is the author of several books and reports on New Institutional Economics. Asif interests concentrated around socio-economic issues and has been working with international development NGOs. Besides, Economics, he is an enthusiastic participant in the social media ecosystem and researches social media issues in his spare time. If time allows then definitely connoisseur of Photoshop.
